Federal Government Shutdown

The federally-funded Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) remains delayed until further notice as New York awaits funding from the federal government. Households lacking resources that can't afford a fuel delivery or are facing a utility shutoff can apply for Emergency Assistance through their local department of social services.

New York State has completed issuing full November SNAP benefits using federal funds. December SNAP benefits will be issued on a regular schedule without delay. The recently enacted federal spending bill also fully funds SNAP through the end of the federal fiscal year 2026.

HHAC Audit Services RFP

Description:

The New York State Homeless Housing and Assistance Corporation (“HHAC” or “Corporation”) requests proposals from individuals and corporations to provide audit services to the Corporation. These services shall include an audit of the general-purpose financial statements of HHAC for the State Fiscal Year (SFY) ending March 31, 2024, and annually thereafter through SFY ending March 31, 2028, for a total of five (5) years. In addition, a review of the internal control procedures over financial reporting and tests of compliance shall be performed in accordance with provisions of laws, regulations, contracts, and grants.
