Federal Government Shutdown

Programs overseen by the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance – including Public Assistance and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) – are not immediately affected by the federal government shutdown and are continuing to operate. Benefits will continue to be provided, and use of benefit cards are not impacted by the shutdown. Additionally, applications for these programs overseen by OTDA will continue to be accepted at this time. This message will be updated if additional information becomes available.

Making a Connection (MAC) RFP

Description:

The purpose of the MAC program is to match refugee youth ages 15-24 with positive adult mentors to promote positive civic and social engagement and support individual educational and vocational advancement. OTDA intends to fund local agencies that will serve refugees, ages 15-24, in the following impacted areas: Albany County, Broome County, Erie County, Long Island (Suffolk and Nassau counties), Monroe County, New York City (5 boroughs), Onondaga County, Oneida County, and Westchester County.
