Federal Government Shutdown

The federally-funded Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) remains delayed until further notice as New York awaits funding from the federal government. Households lacking resources that can't afford a fuel delivery or are facing a utility shutoff can apply for Emergency Assistance through their local department of social services.

New York State has completed issuing full November SNAP benefits using federal funds. December SNAP benefits will be issued on a regular schedule without delay. The recently enacted federal spending bill also fully funds SNAP through the end of the federal fiscal year 2026.

Description:

Through this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”), the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (“OTDA”) of the State of New York (“State”) is seeking competitive proposals from qualified MWBE vendors to provide the Bureau of Audit and Quality Improvement (A&QI) qualified individuals interested in providing statistical consulting services in conducting Quality Control (QC) reviews, audit work in support of its mission, and special projects throughout OTDA. OTDA seeks to obtain proposals from qualified MWBE vendors to provide statistical consulting services as needed for projects related to OTDA programs (including Temporary Assistance for Needly Families (TANF), Maintenance of Effort (MOE), and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
